I love to travel and have seen many beautiful and exotic locations, but I haven’t really visited many places in Australia. Having lived on both the west and east coasts I know there is so much to see and my plan for 2015 is to start venturing more around this great country.

A couple of weeks ago we packed up the car and drove down to the South Coast of New South Wales to a place called Jervis Bay. I had seen TV commercials and photographs of this place but it wasn’t until I saw it that I truly understood what people had kept telling me.

The view of Hyams Beach is stunning. Officially (Guinness Book of Records) the whitest sand in the world and so fine and soft it squeaks as you walk on it. For a minute I thought I was back in Maldives. “How come I haven’t been here before?” I asked myself.

I walked the length of the beach, going in and out of the ocean. The water was calm – perfect for me and the children. I’m looking forward to returning and having a week or weekend in one of the lovely beach houses.

So my promise to myself is to travel and visit more places around Australia.
