I first visited Hyams Beach in 2014. I had heard and read about it, the whitest sand in the world (according to the Guinness book of Records) that is so fine it squeaks when you walk on it, but it is not until you see it that you are truly amazed. And there is the turquoise sea. Simply stunning.

The Maldives is one of my favourite places, and the beach and sea at Hyams is so much like what you would find there.

Since that first visit last year, I’ve been back twice. A three hour drive from Sydney to the NSW south coast and you’re in Jervis Bay.

Staying in a fantastic beach house for the week, and even with two energetic and excited children, I was able to relax, walk on the beach, sunbathe, and have a BBQ every night. I was also lucky to have my parents with me for the week, as they were on holiday from the UK. Such a wonderful week.

We had several days over 40 degrees. A great opportunity to get a bit of a tan to wear my summer wardrobe!

I’m now back in Sydney and wanting to plan my next holiday!
