Western Boots

It’s time to embrace your inner cowgirl

As the northern hemisphere enjoys the final weeks of summer and looks towards autumn, the cowboy boots trend is back.

Whether it is celebs or seeing my friends on Instagram, or on their blog, it seems everyone is wearing them. They are boots that anyone can wear. But it’s not about going full Annie Oakley! Although I grew up in rural Surrey in England I really am a city-girl and the look you need with the Western Boots is urban cool and edgy.

I have seen some fab styles from designers already – tall healed, studded and two-tone patterns – from high street to high end.

It’s still cool here in Sydney (although this weekend has been lovely and warm) and I am looking forward to spring, but I’m already joining my northern hemisphere friends in this trend, with skinny jeans and a blazer, or a skirt and a big thick coat. As the days get warmer and spring arrives in Australia, I’ll be pairing the boots with summer dresses and floral, pretty prints.

The pair I am wearing in the photos are from Miss Sixty (previous season).

Below are two great designs I recently spotted at Topshop and River Island. I would love to hear your thoughts on this seasons trend.

Have a great week
