For me no brand is more quintessentially British than Burberry. A standard bearer for British design and style. The Burberry Brit collection is my personal favourite.

The Burberry flagship store on Regent Street in London is an endless journey of fashion and British style. But also a visit to the Burberry Brit store at Covent Garden is great for a stylish skirt, dress or shoes.

But nothing says Burberry more than one of their Heritage Trench Coats – representing over 100 years of innovation and craftsmanship.

The trench coat was developed for the military, each detail evolved to serve a purpose, elevating it above other outerwear garments of the time. Epaulettes were added to display the rank of officers, the gun flap at the chest provided greater protection, while the storm shield on the upper back ensured rain ran cleanly off the body.

Now it’s an important fashion item. Mine is mid-length and is perfect for the autumn, winter and spring in Australia, day or night, smart or casual.

I was bought my first Burberry handbag for Christmas in 2002. Today, my wardrobe would not be complete with a Burberry trench coat. It keeps me warm and dry and I love to wear it.

I love the trench. It looks great on you! So classic. Wouldn’t mind investing in one myself πŸ˜‰
