Autumn & winter outfit ideas

My favourite outfits for the season

I love summer, the warm days and nights, all of my summer pieces, and of course my bikinis, but, I’ve been busy planning my winter wardrobe and looking at what’s on trend this year.

Right now in Sydney its that transitional period between the warm weather and winter arriving.

For me, just like last year, this autumn and winter will be all about combat style and chunky boots with outfits to match. I also want to make tailored shorts a key outfit staple in the colder months. I love how you can style them with knee high or ankle boots. I’ll also be wearing my cycling shorts in more casual and smart-casual outfits.

I have put together four outfits for autumn and winter that I know I’ll be wearing. With the exception of my Prada Monolith boots, you will have seen all the pieces in these outfits in pervious posts on here and Instagram. I try to buy investment pieces that will last year after year, and can be included into various outfits, even as styles and trends changes.

Here are the outfits:

Work and Smarter Occasions

Here is a blazer and shorts suit that I have been wearing for work and smater occassions. The suit is from Rag & Bone and it really is one of my favourites. Paired with black ankle boots here but also looks good with knee high boots when the weather is colder.

My Everyday Streetstyle

So far this autumn, this has been my go to outfit so much. Comfy and easy streetstyle with boots. Also easy to throw on a chunky jumper or coat if it gets cold. The shorts are from All Saints, the t-shirt is from Rag and Bone, boots from Prada and bag from Chanel.

Meetings and Day to Night

Dressing up for this outfit. Smarter boots with tailored shorts and crisp white tailored shirt. Easy to add a paid of tights for the cold and throw on a tailored wool coat. Something I could wear to work and heading out for the evening. The boots are from Dune, shorts from Miss Sixty, shirt from Chales Tyrwhitt and bag from Closet Rituals.

Casual days

I love this outfit … pieces from my favourite UK brands and perfect for this time of year in Sydney! Its one of those outfits that is both smart enough and casual at the same time. The biker jacket and cycling shorts are from All Saints, shirt from Charles Tyrwhitt, boots from Jimmy Choo and bag from Chanel.

I hope you found this article interesting and helpful with your own outfits.
